Edna Daisy Commander Gregg, affectionately known as Puddin, age 81, went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 13, 2019 at her residence. She was born in Lynchburg, SC on October 24, 1937 to the late Nellie Clavon Commander and the late David Commander Sr. She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late James Gregg Sr. and to this union three sons were born.

Mrs. Commanderretired from New Port News General Hospital after working diligently for 30 years. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church in Bishopville, SC. Puddin never met a stranger and was a loving and kind individual.

She is survived by one beloved son and caretaker, Jerry Gregg, two sisters, Minnie Pearl Commander and Willie Mae Brunson;one brother, David Commander Jr.; two granddaughters, Natalie Gregg and Jocelyn Collins; one grandson, Damien Gregg; Sister-in-law, Mary Francis Commander; special niece, Monica (Johnny) Thames; special friend Elouise McCray of New Port News, VA. and a host of other loving family members and friends.

Edna was also preceded in death by two sons, James Gregg Jr. and Johnny Lee Gregg; two sisters, Azalee Johnson and Lucille Johnson and one brother; Thomas Commander.

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Ms. Gregg will be placed in the church on Monday at 11am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 20, 2019, at 12 Noon at Salem Heritage and Chapel, Sumter, SC.

Burial will follow at Bradford Cemetery.
