Obituary

Mrs. Earnestine J. Wilson departed this life on Monday, October 22, 2018 at her residence. She was born to the late Simon and Lizzie Johnson on July 6, 1944 in Mayesville, SC.

Earnestine received her early Christian experience with her family at St. Peter African Methodist Episcopal Church. She later joined St. Mark United Methodist Church after her marriage to William "Bill" Wilson. She was a member of the Senior and Gospel Choirs, and the United Methodist Women.

She enjoyed gardening, listening to the radio, and preparing Sunday dinners for her children and grandchildren whom she loved.

She received her education in the public schools of Lee County. She was a 1962 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School in Elliott, SC.

She was formerly employed at Madison Industries for more than thirty-three years.

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish memories: three daughters: Benita (Samuel) Spann, Sharolyn (Tyrone) Brown, and Mary Louise (Stephen) Harrison; two sons, William Alvin (Rezenia) Wilson and Terrence Reginald (Evelyn) Wilson; one sister, Neola (Walter) Davis; eleven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, McKinley Wilson; two sisters-in-law, Libby Johnson and Nancy (Odell) Williams; and host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Earnestine was preceded in death by five siblings: James Lee Johnson, Marion Johnson, Birdie L . Sampson, Claretta Damon, and Lina Mae Burgess.

Public Viewing will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Wilson will be placed in the church on Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Sunday, October 27, 2018 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 S. Salem Avenue Sumter, SC, with Rev. Franklin Garrett Presiding and Rev. Donnie McBride Officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Peter AME Church Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home, 3860 First Street Mayesville, SC.
