Dewond Andre Davis was born on August 29, 1974 to Thomasina Kenny and Glenn Bess in Sumter, SC. He departed this life on August 28, 2019.

Dewond was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Sumter High in 1994.

He was a man of discretion, who had a love of restoring old cars and a great passion for fishing. He loved his family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Dewond was employed by the Federal Justice Department & SC Department for Corrections before retiring.

Dewond leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Carolyn Davis; two daughters, Kiarra and Kayla Davis; his mother, Thomasina (Ronnie) Kenny; his father, Glenn (Patress) Bess; five sisters: Renee Pringle-Pollard, Latisha Davis, Cassandra Davis, Quanda Davis, and Shanora Harris; three brothers: Jonathan Pringle, Tony (Brenda) Abrams, and Michael Bess; father and mother-in-law, Carlisle (Annette) Anderson; sister-in-law, Carlean (Hallie) Law; two godchildren, Gabrielle Myers and Kerry Myers, Jr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and special friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Glen James; and a sister, Denise Bess.

Mr. Davis will be placed in the church on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center 101 South Salem Avenue Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Lemuel Washington, Eulogist and Rev. Jonte McFadden, Officiating.

Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home 350 Derek Drive Sumter, SC 29154.
