Dean Franklin Boatwright, known to many as "Boat" and "Boatwright" was born on February 11, 1953 in Marion, South Carolina to the late Dean Floyd Boatwright Sr. and Jimmie Conyers Boatwright. On Friday, December 20, 2019, Dean entered into eternal rest with a final "I'm Good."

Mr. Boatwright will be placed in the church on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at Friendship AME Church 6156 Furse Road Pinewood, SC 29125, with Pastor Mary Rhodes Officiating.

Interment will follow in Friendship Church Cemetery.
