Obituary

Deaconess Hattie Blondell Graham Golden, daughter of the late Palmus and Elizabeth Dobson Graham was born Tuesday, May 10, 1932 in Olanta, SC. On August 12, 2016 God called his servant Deaconess Hattie Blondell Graham Golden to enter into eternal rest.
She was educated at Olanta Training School in Olanta, SC and Mather Academy School in Camden, SC. At an early age Blondell assisted her grandparents by helping out at Green's Funeral Home in Olanta, SC.
Blondell or Blondie as she was known by her family and friends was a professional dry cleaner presser in Ohio, Shaw AFB Cleaner, Glasscock Cleaner and Victory Cleaners. She was also employed by Visiting Professional Home Healthcare. At an early age Blondell became a member of Jordan Chapel Freewill Baptist Church of Olanta, SC. Later, she became a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Sumter, SC where she served as Deaconess faithfully until her health failed. She was married to the Jimmie Golden Jr., to this union was blessed with six wonderful children.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories; four daughters, Jacqueline L. Golden of Sumter, SC, Loretta (Donald) Ellis of El Paso, Texas, Terrie (Albert) Parrott, and Minister Yolanda (Minister Billy) White both of Sumter, SC; two sons, Jimmie A. (Cynthia) Golden Sr. and Reginald A. (Keisha) Golden both of Sumter, SC; one step son, Tyrone Lowery Golden od Webster, Texas; special nephew, James Frank "Cotton" Durant Jr. of the home; three adopted daughters, Barbara Rutherford, Evangelist Julia Croskey and Lizzie Vaughn all of Sumter, SC; five sisters-in-law, Barbara Jean Williams, Brenda Golds, Betty Jean Reese, Betty Reese, and Minnie Reese; two brothers-in-law, Richard Reese and Henry Tindal; seventeen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
Special friends: the late Lillie B. Gamble, Ethel L. Davis-Jackson and Estelle Phillips, Tisher White, Anna L. Dinkins, Virginia Robinson, Louise Sessions, Carrie Canty, Mattie White, Viola Hargrove and Bessie Solomon.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, August 19, 2016 from 2-7pm at Job's Mortuary.
Deaconess Golden will be placed in the church on Sat. at 10:00am for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held on Sat. at 11:00am at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Larry W. Barnes and Co-Pastor Evangelene G. Barnes, Officiating.
Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.
Family will be receiving friends at the home 951 Nathaniel Street, Sumter.
