David Cantey, 96, son of the late Alexander Cantey, Sr., and Mary Harvin-Cantey, was born on April 23, 1929 in Sumter, SC. He departed this life on Sunday, February 01, 2026 at Sumter East Health and Rehabilitation Center, Sumter, SC.
Public viewing will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 from 2-6pm at Job’s Mortuary, Inc.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter, SC 29150 with Dr. Aaron Williams, Officiating.
Interment will follow in Cain Cemetery, Sumter, SC 29154.
Job’s Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
