Daniel McCray, Jr., son of the late Daniel and Louise McCray, Sr., was born on February 1, 1957 in Sumter, SC..

"Junior," as he was affectionately called, was educated in the public schools of Sumter County. He joined Mt. Sinai AME Church at an early age. He was joined in holy matrimony to Shirley F. McCray.

On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, Daniel McCray, Jr. departed this earthly life quietly at his residence on Two Mile Road, Lynchburg, SC.

"Junior" leaves to cherish his precious memories: his wife, Shirley McCray; a son, Danrell McCray; a daughter, Darlene M. McCray; two children reared as his own, Regina M. Fullard and Cheria L. Fullard; two sisters, Lou Emma McCray and Evlyn Kennedy all of Sumter, SC; four brothers: Jerome McCray, Glenn McCray, Roylee McCray, and Dan (Phyllis) McCray all of Lynchburg, SC; three sisters-in-law: Betty McCray, Patricia McCray, and Phyllis McCray of Lynchburg, SC;  grandchildren: Russell, Charya, Carsen, Ny'Zaiah, Nyla, Neveah, Mariah, Lilliannah, Alyviah, Amira, Dy'Nasti; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Frankie McCray and Carnell McCray, and a brother-in-law, Henry Kennedy

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. McCray will be placed in the church on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10am for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Mt. Sinai AME Church 5985 Mt. Sinai Church Road Lynchburg, SC, with Rev. Marie Deas Webb Officiating.

Interment will follow in Edwards Cemetery.
