Mrs. Cora Lee Singleton Pack, a daughter of the late Mr. Lewis E. Singleton, Sr. and Mrs. Carrie Wilder Singleton, was born on May 1, 1918 in Sumter County. She departed this life on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Palmetto Health Tuomey, Sumter, South Carolina.

Mother Cora was educated in the public school system of Sumter County. After her retirement from Sumter School District 2, she became a homemaker, caregiver and pursued her lifelong mission of serving God.

Mother Cora began her Christian journey at an early age.  She received Christ as her personal savior and was baptized at Enon Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful member for more than 50 years. She was a member of the choir and missionary ministry. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Mr. Luley Pack, and this Union was blessed with 12 children.

Upon turning 100 years old on May 1, 2018, she received special recognition from the city of Sumter, WLTX 19 News in Columbia and was blessed by her grandchildren, who hosted a community-wide celebration in her honor.

Her loving legacy will always be cherished by her twelve loving children: James Pack of Brooklyn, NY,  Rosa Bradley, Blanche (Isaac)Bradley, Mae Nickens, Annie Bradley, Willie Mae  (Robert) Johnson, Barbara (Freddie) Goodman, Jimmie (Johnny)McMillan, Robert (Helen) Pack all of Sumter, SC, Gloria (Dennis) Gallashaw, Harry Pack both of Camden, NJ and Vivian Pack of Atlanta, GA; thirty-seven grandchildren, seventy-five great grandchildren and thirteen great-great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law, Elouise Scott of Sumter, SC, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

She was preceded in death by three brothers: George, Eugene and Lewis Singleton; one sister, Ella Bell Boyd; three sons-in-law: James Nickens, Milton Bradley, Sr. and Eugene Bradley, Sr.; one daughter-in-law: Joyce Pack; one grandson, Michael Bradley; three brothers-in-law: Robert James, Moise and Samuel Pack; four sisters-in-law: Loris Simmons, Priscilla Gaymon, Rosa Lee Bolger and Iris P. Singleton.

Public Viewing will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 2-5pm at Job's Mortuary.

Mother Pack will be placed in the church on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Enon Missionary Baptist Church 2990 Pinewood Road Sumter, SC 29154, with Pastor Julie Ann Hayes Officiating.

Interment will follow in Cain Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home, 2620 Yank Haven Drive Sumter, SC 29153 from 1-7pm.
