Charles Crawford Muldrow, affectionately known as "Soulie Jr" was born on May 4, 1936 departed this life on November 17, 2017 at Providence Northeast Hospital. Mr. Muldrow attended the public schools of Sumter County. He later joined the United States Army where he was wounded and received a Purple Heart.
He was a man who loved people and was loved by many, he never met a stranger, he was very appreciative of the Washington Family for caring for him like a brother. Mr. Muldrow has lived in many residential care facilities prior to moving to Oliver Residential Care Facility where he has resided for 6 years. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver were great caregivers and they shared a great bond.
Muldrow later joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memories; his sibling, Frances Muldrow of New Jersey , Calvin Muldrow of Virginia, and Victor Moultry of Jacksonville, FL; a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his aunt, Chloe Canty(whom he was raised by after the passing of his mother), sibling, John Butler; his uncles, Jim Ballard, Moses Ballard and Ismel Ballard.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017 from 2-7pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Muldrow will be placed in the church on Sat. Nov. 25 at 10am until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held on Sat. Nov. 25 at 2pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Sumter with Rev. Dr. James Blassingame, Officiating.
Interment will follow in Walker Cemetery.
