Bishop Powell Hampton, Jr., 74, husband of Earnestine Holland Hampton and son of the late Rev. Powell, Sr. and Rosa O. Green Hampton, was born on December 28, 1946 in Clarendon County, SC. He departed this life on Monday, April 05, 2021 at his residence.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Bishop Hampton will be placed in church on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 1pm on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 South Salem Avenue, Sumter, SC 29150, with Bishop James Mosley, Eulogist and Presiding Elder Duwine Sinkler, Officiating.

Interment will follow in New Hope Community Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at the home, 224 Kirven Street, Pinewood, SC 29125. All visitors are required to wear facial masks.
