Obituary

Bernice Isaac Bradley, the 3rd child of the late Henry W. Sr. and Ethel Jackson Isaac, was born February 22, 1926. She departed this life on Monday, September 2, 2019.

A graduate of Dennis High School (1944), she earned a degree in Elementary Education from Allen University (1948) in Columbia, SC, and completed graduate coursework at Columbia University, in New York, NY. Mrs. Bradley taught public school in Lee County for 32 years,
and adult education for two years. She was a lifetime member of the National Education
Association , a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and served as President for 32 years of the
Lee County Chapter of the Allen University Alumni Association . She was a former Chaplain for
the General Allen University Alumni Association.

A third generation member of New Zion AME Church in Wisacky, SC, Bernice was involved in
numerous organizations.

Bernice married her childhood and college sweetheart, the late Phillip E. Bradley, and they
were blessed with four daughters: Gwendolyn, Odessa, Marcia, and Valerie.

Those left to cherish her memory are three daughters: Gwendolyn (Steven) Bradley-Willemann of NY, Odessa Bibbins of MD, and Valerie Bradley-Thomas of GA; eight grandchildren: Victor E. Bibbins, Jr. of CA, Shamar Bibbins of MI, Issa (Khima) Bibbins MA, Olivia Bradley Willemann of NY, Vaughan Bradley-Willemann of Washington, DC, Immanuel Bibbins of MD, A'brielle Thomas and Malcolm Thomas both of GA; three great-grandchildren: Marcia, Malachi and Mason Bibbins all of MA; brothers, Henry (Wanda) Isaac, Jr., Daniel (Thomasena) Isaac, a niece, whom she grew up with, Gloria Byrd of GA; and a host nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Bernice was preceded in death by a daughter, Marcia Bradley; and two sisters, Rosa Lee Byrd Luckey and Anna Lua Brown.

Mrs. Bradley will be placed in the church on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 12:30pm for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at New Zion AME Church 78 Elliott Highway Bishopville, SC 29010, with Pastor Archie Temoney Officiating .

Interment will follow in New Zion Memorial Gardens.

Job's Mortuary, Inc., 312 S. Main Street is in charge of arrangements.
