Obituary
Berlese Ellen McCullum Botwe, daughter of Pastor Isaac McCullum Sr. and Betty J. Perry McCullum was born December 14, 1975 in Sumter, SC. On Thursday, July 20, 2017 Berlese Ellen McCullum Botwe entered into eternal rest at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia, SC.
She received her formal education in the public schools of Sumter County and was a 1994 graduate of Sumter High School. She attended SC State University and Central Carolina Technical College. She loved to sing and served as a member of several concert and show choirs. She worked for Carolina Place where she engaged in counseling, peer support, and life skills.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories her three children; Juliannah Botwe, Jeremy Botwe both of Tomball, Texas and Brayden McCullum of Sumter, SC; her father, Pastor Isaac McCullum Sr., mother, Betty J. Perry McCullum; three brothers, Isaac Jr. of Norcross, GA, Daniel J. (Anna) McCullum of Effingham, SC and Jacob T. McCullum of Sumter, SC; grandmother, Ruth P. Perry; three nieces, Journey McCullum, Sumarian McCullum and Skylar McCullum; two nephews, Jonathan and Micah McCullum; six aunts, Wilhelmina, Kelly, Elder Brenda Richardson, Pastor Dr. Mattie P. (Willie) Malachi, Cynthia P. (Daryl) Cooper and Linda F. Perry; seven uncles, Kay Patterson, Nathaniel Jr. (Deloris) Perry, Elders Abraham (Barbara) Perry, Clinton (Gwendolyn) Perry, Deacon Lester (Cynthia F.) Perry, Ruben O. Perry and Sammy J. Perry; a host of cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, James H. Patterson and Emmaline McCullum and her maternal grandfather, Nathaniel Perry Sr.
Public Viewing will be held on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary Inc.
Mrs. Botwe will be placed in the church on Tuesday at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 1pm at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Rev. Marion H. Newton, Officiate and Pastor Ricky Simmons, Eulogist.
Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park
Family will be receiving friends at the home of her parents, 2890 Janie Street, Sumter
