Deacon Benjamin Swinton, 93, husband of Dollie Vernell Woods Swinton and son of the late Richard Swinton and Celia Wells Swinton, was born on September 10, 1929 in Sumter, SC.  He departed this life on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, SC.

Public viewing will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held at 11am, Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Salem Missionary Baptist Church, 320 W. Fulton Street, Sumter, SC 29150 with Rev. Lei Butler Washington, Officiating and Rev. Dr. Cartrell Woods, Jr., Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter, SC 29154.

Family will receive friends at the home, 913 W. Bartlette Street, Sumter, SC 29150
