Obituary

Barbara Ann China gracefully departed this life on March 28, 2018 at Treasure Coast Hospice Care Facility.

Born on March 19, 1950 in Sumter South Carolina, she was the beautiful and charismatic daughter of the late Joseph and Roberta Galloway China.

Ms. Barbara Ann China attended the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1971. She joined Beulah African Methodist Episcopal Church at an early age where she served on the Usher's Ministry and Sunday School Department.

Ms. Barbara Ann China was an exemplary and meritorious employee. She worked at Campbell Soup Company for eleven years and received much accreditation for her outstanding services. After relocating to Fort Pierce, Florida, she worked at Florida's Juice Company and Fort Pierce Healthcare before retiring.

Ms. Barbara Ann China loved her family and loved the "Sunshine State" of Florida. Her memorizing smile and compassionate heart left an impact on everyone she touched.

She leaves to cherish her memories three sisters: Ruth G. Charles, Shirby (Sammie) Simmons, Sumter, SC; Jessie Tenley, Baltimore, MD; one brother, Lawrence (Lois) China, Sumter, SC; two sisters-in-law, Carrie Bell China, Sumter, SC and Marie China, Philadelphia, PA,  aunt, Evelyn Davis, Baltimore, MD; a special niece, Roneika (Neiky) China-Jennette, a special god-son, Detrick Simmons; two special and close friends, Stacy Hamilton and Pearl Dennis, Fort Pierce, Florida; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Roberta China, and three brothers, Frank China, Joseph China, and Herbert China.

Public viewing will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary, Inc.

Ms. China will be placed in the church on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 10am for viewing until hour of service.

Funeral Service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. Mark 4B Missionary Baptist Church, 2280 4 Bridges Road, Sumter, SC, with Rev. Dr. Sammie D. Simmons, Eulogist, and Rev. Michael C. Walker Officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mark Church Cemetery.

Family will be receiving friends at the home of her sister, 515 Knightsbridge Road Sumter, SC.
