Mrs. Angeline Bolden Loney was born on Thursday, August 14, 1913 to Maggie and Henry Bolden and is the seventh of ten children. She departed this life on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at her residence, 3130 Loney Lane, Dalzell, SC.
She attended Rosewell Providence School in Dalzell, SC. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a lifelong member of Hopewell Baptist Church. Her church roles were Choir Member, Assistant Superintendent of the Sunday School, President of the Pastor's Aide Ministry for 33 years, and she was the Mother of the Church.
Angeline married Marcus McKinley Loney, Jr. and shortly afterward they moved to New York where she worked for 15 years in various capacities before returning to Dalzell, SC. She continued to work in various jobs and even spent a short time as a Beauty Shop Technician.
Her husband died on April 16, 1979, they had been married for over 46 years.
During her younger years, Angeline took missionary work seriously as she would energetically drive throughout the community taking care of the sick and shut in. As her health failed, she continued her missionary work by writing letters and making phone calls.
Angeline was the oldest member of Catchall Chapter #315 Order of the Eastern Star, PHA, where she held the Point of Esther for many years.
Angeline attributed her longevity to working hard and having faith in God. Her favorite song was, "We've Come This Far By Faith" and her favorite scriptures were Proverbs 3:5-6, Phillippians 4:13, and Romans 8:31.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and nine siblings.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, Oct. 27, 2017 from 1-4pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mrs. Loney will be placed in the church on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2pm at Hopewell Baptist Church, 3285 Peach Orchard Rd, Dalzell, SC 29040.
Interment will follow in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Family will be receiving friends at 3985 Dodgen Hill Rd., Dalzell, SC 29040
