IN LOVING MEMORY OF
André Michael
Taylor
January 9, 1976 – October 24, 2019
André Michael Taylor, the youngest son of Pattie Ann Taylor Samuel and the late Willie James Samuel, was born on January 9, 1976 in Washington, DC. He departed this life on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at his residence.
André graduated from Suitland High School in 1994 and continued his education at Maryland Drafting Institute. He later developed a brand and logo with his friends called "CruLuv." CruLuv was his heart and soul until his son was born; the birth of his son, Ja'Quan, then became one of Dré's proudest moments and greatest accomplishments.
Shortly afterwards, he relocated to South Carolina to spend more time with his parents and make a better life for his family. André became employed with Thompson/Caterpillar, where he remained until his death.
Anyone that has ever met Dré will truly miss him. He was such quiet, laid back, calm, positive and kind-hearted person, who always had a great smile.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Pattie Samuel of Lynchburg, SC; one son, Ja'Quan Alston; one sister, Esperita Taylor of Lynchburg, SC; three step-sisters: Annette Spann, Angela Samuel, and Aletha Samuel of Paterson, NJ; two nephews, Spencer Taylor of Greenville, SC and Jaedon Troublefield; a special friend, Angela Sumpter; four close friends that were like brothers: Jimmy Smith, Billy Frazier, Darion King, and Todd Mitchell; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and many other close friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mr. Taylor will be placed in the church on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 12noon for viewing until the hour of service.
