Amelia Choice Wiley, was born on August 28, 1946 in Sumter, SC to the late John Henry and Sallie Gathers Choice. She slipped peacefully into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 in the comfort of her home.
Amelia was educated in the public schools of Sumter County and graduated from Ebenezer High School. She retired from Sumter School District Two after 28 years of faithful service. She was a member of High Hills AME Church where she sang on numerous choirs and was an active member of the Edward Robinson Floral Club and Emma Louise Robinson Womens Missionary Society. Amelia was also a proud member of The Golden Girls of Sumter, SC.
Amelia leaves her warm and precious memories; one son, Bryant (Amanda) Wiley of Wedgefield, SC; two devoted daughters, Jawanda (Frederick ) Stukes of Rembert, SC and Shalanda Wiley of Sumter, SC; two sisters, Louise Hunter of Vineland, NJ and Albertha Hales of Sumter, SC; one aunt, Elnora Gathers of Sumter, SC; two granddaughters, Angelica and Taryn; her spouse, George Wiley of Sumter, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.
Mrs. Wiley will be placed in the church on Sat. at 1pm for viewing until the hour of service.
Funeral Services will be held on Sat, April 9, 2016 at 2pm at High Hills AME Church with Pastor Stanley Rivers, Officiating.
Interment will follow in High Hills AME Church Cemetery.
Family will be receiving friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, 850 Carmiler Lane, Wedgefield, SC.
