Albert Lee Rhodes, Sr. was born on February 5, 1949 to the late Edward and Beulah Blue Rhodes, Sr.. He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at his residence.

Albert was a member of St. Mark and Berea SDA Church for 38 years. He helped anyone he can in contact with, and if you met him, you would've never forgotten him. He loved and served his church dearly, assisting as Head Deacon, Stewardship Secretary, Building Committee member, and community service volunteer. Albert was also named Basketball Coach of the Year in 1999 for the South Atlantic Conference (SAC).

Albert retired in 2010, from M. B. Kahn Construction, one of the many jobs he has done in his working career. After retired, he jumped right into handy-man projects.

Albert leaves to cherish his memory a loving and devoted wife of 52 years, Lucile McLeod Rhodes; one son, Albert (Michelle) Rhodes, Jr.; two daughters, Lisa (Gerald) Scriven and Jennifer (Coral Lee) Benjamin; four brothers: Eugene (Annabell) Rhodes, Edward Rhodes, Jr., Johnnie (Margaret) Rhodes, and Larry (Francina) Rhodes; six grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.

Public Viewing will be held on Monday, June 17, 2019 from 2-6pm at Job's Mortuary.

Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Berea Seventh Day Adventist Church 675 Lafayette Drive Sumter, SC 29150, with Pastor Michael Miller Officiating and Pastor Frank Harrell, Eulogist.

Interment will follow in Bradford Cemetery.

Family will receive friends at 1028 Huddersfield Drive Sumter, SC 29154.
